Zimbabwe’s Permanent Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Services Nick Mangwana’s Twitter account has been put under temporary restrictions over ‘unusual activity’.

This is the second time Mangwana’s micro blogging account has come under scrutiny over the same allegations.

However, the professional nurse later on managed to access his account.

Announcing the latest development, Twitter said, “Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account. Do you still want to view it?

Mangwana is currently blocked from sharing any content as he used to do frequently.

His last seen was 22 hours ago where he was celebrating an alleged foiled demonstration at Beitbridge Border Post, “A bid to block commercial traffic from entering or leaving Zimbabwe via Beitbridge Border Post failed dismally yesterday after the organisers of the planned demo never managed to get support,” he posted.

However, a temporary restriction does not usually warrant account suspension unless the account holder repeatedly violates the Twitter rules.

Meanwhile, his Ministry recently lost out more than 100k followers after Twitter deleted the account over more or less the same allegations.
