Malawi Takes Over SADC Chair In 2021

Malawi has been elected as the incoming Chairperson of SADC chairman in 2021, as it will take over the reigns after Mozambique, where the President is expected to host the 41st ordinary SADC summit In August 2021.

This came out of today’s SADC 40th meeting which saw Mozambique take over the leadership role.

In his Malawian speech, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera said Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) faces a daunting challenge to live the dream of economic freedom, an aspiration championed by the grouping’s founding leaders
