TelOne Employees test positive for COVID-19

Three TelOne staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and have since been placed under isolation as per health regulations to combat the spread of the virus.

Operations at the company’s headquarters in Harare have have been scaled down.

According to reports, the affected members experienced the virus’ symptoms on Monday before a PCR testing was carried out to confirm positive.

The state owned company confirmed the news in a statement: “ We regret to advise all our valued clients and stakeholders that three members of our staff have tested positive for COVID19 . We have have immediately implemented the necessary contact tracing and testing procedures working with the response team under the ministry of healthy.”

Members who worked with the tested employees have been put in isolation with disinfection being done at the working areas.

“ All team members who work in the same section s the affected staff members have begun a fourteen day isolation and are going through testing.”

“All public spaces including working areas are currently being deep cleaned ad disinfected to ensure safety for all our clients and stakeholders.”

COVID19 cases continue to spiral in the country with the number of confirmed cases now at 2 124 and 28 deaths.
