A female member of the Zimbabwe National Army on Tuesday collapsed at the Constitutional Court Car Park in the capital city, Harare.
The woman was only identified as Kabote.
Kabote is alleged to have stumbled unexpectedly in broad daylight by third street and central avenue.
It is reported that she spent more than three hours at the scene before her son in law came to her rescue.
Efforts to get assistance from his employer and medical aid, Zimbabwe National Army and PSMAS, were fruitless as it emerged that the army has only one functional ambulance which was committed elsewhere.
An eyewitness who spoke to TechMagTV on condition of anonymity said, ”We went to assist her we found she had a PSMAS card but when we called them, they refused citing that they wanted 55USD which was not available although she was a fully paid member. We tried to get assistance from ZDF Head Offices but they also informed us that the only ambulance was out with another patient.”
“We spent more than 2hours on phone calls to the offices where she works and still those did not yield anything unfortunately. Every call we made would hit a brick wall.”
“She was later assisted by her son in law who had to send someone from Highfield after being unconscious from midmorning until sometime well after lunch.”
