A 71 year old female in Bulawayo has died of Covid19 bringing the total number of confirmed death cases to 26.
This was reaveled by the Ministry of health on Monday.
“Today we regret to report one death at community level in Matebeland North Province the is a 71 year old female who was detected during routine postmotem as part of our Covid 19 surveillance.”
Whilst 102 tested positive for COVID19 on Monday In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said the new cases include returnees from Botswana (2) South Africa (18) China (1)
The Ministry also reports that 81 of the cases are local transmissions with 42 being contacts of known confirmed cases adding that investigations were underway to establish the source of the other 39 cases.
However they have been social media claiming that government is increasing the number of cases to surpass the planned July 31 demonstrations.
