The deceased ( name withheld) was a Warren Park resident.
According to information obtained by TechMagTV, the lady was one of the local transmission cases as she never travelled outside the country.
It is alleged that after experiencing the pandemic virus’ symptoms, she quickly went into self quarantine as a health measure to combat the spread of the COVID-19.
She only got to know her status on Thursday (9 July 2020) after she got tested at a local medical facility.
Three days later, Sunday, she died at her house in Warren Park.
Confirming the sad news to this publication, MDC Alliance Ward 41 councillor Kudzai Kadzombe said, “Yes it is true indeed the city council health workers are coming this morning (Tuesday) to disinfect the Westgate saloon she was working from and also do an awareness.”
In an awareness campaign, Kadzombe urged his Ward 41 residents and the nation at large to be very cautious when conducting their day to day businesses.
“I would want to urge you not to panic but to take necessary precautions and a recount of your last week movements to ascertain if you visited the said saloon.
Let us remember that Covid – 19 is real and i know most of us had started relaxing on Covid-19 precautions but we need to adhere to all the stipulated regulations as Covid-19 is going to be with us for a long time,” Kadzombe said.
Noone knows where she got the transmission from and who else she was in contact with at Westgate mall including, supermarkets and public transport she used to and from home.
