The State of Palestine has strongly rejected Israel’s plans to annex the West Bank, viewing it as part of Israel’s “all-out genocidal war” against the Palestinian people. Ambassador Tamer Almassri stated that this move would solidify control over illegal settlements and entrench the occupation of Palestinian territories, threatening the identity and heritage of the Palestinian state.
The proposed annexation is considered a severe violation of international law, prohibited under the acquisition of territory by force or threat. Such an act would constitute a crime under the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction, posing a threat to global peace and security.
